What
We Believe About The Bible

"These
are the Old and the New Testaments: They were written by holy men, inspired by
the Holy Spirit, and are God's revealed word to man. They are sufficient and infallible
rule and guide to salvation and all Christian worship and service. Since the Bible
is the Word of God, it is without error in all matters upon which it speaks, whether
history, geography, matters relating to science or any other subject.
II Peter 1:18-21; II Timothy 3:16,17; Ex. 4:15; Psa. 32:8; Heb. 1:1, 2.
We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the most accurate
translation available to the English speaking people of the world today. Other
versions, such as the NASV, may be adequate for reading and understanding, but
the King James Version is more closely associated with the original manuscripts.
We
believe that the Human writers of the scriptures were chosen by God and filled
with the Holy Spirit enabling them to write the Very Words that God Himself wanted
written. Every word in the Bible is exactly what God wanted written. That's why
it's called "God's Word".

What We Believe About God
"The Scriptures teach that there is only one true and living God, who is
Spirit, self-existent, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent,
independent, good, wise, holy, just, and merciful, the ...Creator, Preserver,
and Governor of the Universe; the Redeemer, Savior, Sanctifier, and Judge of men;
and the only proper object of worship. The mode of His existence, however, is
a subject far above the understanding of man - finite beings cannot comprehend
Him. There is nothing in the universe that can justly represent Him, for there
is none like Him. He is the fountain of all perfection and happiness. He is glorified
by the whole creation, and worthy to be loved and served by all intelligence.

What We Believe About Divine
Government & Providence
God
exercises a providential care and superintendence over all His creatures, and
governs the world in wisdom and mercy, according to the testimony of His Word.
God has endowed man with power of free choice, and governs him by moral laws
and motives; and this power of free choice is the exact measure of man's responsibility
All events are present with God from everlasting to everlasting; but His knowledge
of them does not in any sense cause them, nor does He decree all events which
He knows will occur.

Job 14:5; Eph 1:11; Psa 22:28; Psa 97:2; Isa 33:32; Ex 34:6; Job 36:5; Deut 30:19;

Branch Chapel FWB Church Is A Free Will
Baptist Church

Branch
Chapel FWB is a Free Will Baptist Church, as such, it is committed to the proclamation
of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ. How do we know what is truth? If the Bible
says it, it is truth!
We do not create doctrine as such, we try to follow
the scriptures. Any doctrine we may have is based totally on the scriptures. If
our church doctrine disagrees with anything in the scriptures, the doctrine is
wrong!
If
you disagree with what we as FWB believe, it had better be based on your understanding
of God's word and therefore be backed up with scriptures. If not, you do not disagree
with us. You disagree with God!!
Free
Will Baptist believe in the Free Will of the Believer to accept God's gracious
gift of salvation through faith in his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
This
gift of Salvation is not based on any works, before salvation, nor after salvation.
It is based on God's free gift to all mankind, if they would only believe Jesus
is who He said He is.
