On
July 7, 2009, a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend
went home to be with the Lord. God looked down on this earth and
saw that his work was done and his body was getting weary so He
took him home to get his reward.
Rayford was born October
18, 1932 to the late Lewis and Rosa Della Evans. He was an active
member of Branch Chapel FWB Church. He served in many rolls during
his years at the church. He was a former Chairman of the Deacon
Board, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, cemetery and cooking
committee member. He loved to farm and garden, hunt and fish and
worked as a farmer and painter during his life. He was the type
of person who enjoyed life and being active and busy. He loved
his wife of almost 54 years, his four children and three grandsons.
He loved his bothers, sisters, and many friends but most of all
he loved the Lord deeply. It showed in everything he did.
He will be greatly missed
by all who knew him and all those whose lives he touched. This
year he is spending Christmas with Jesus - the real reason for
the season and it's the best one he's ever had.
